We are seeking a dedicated and organised Storeperson to join voestalpine High Performance Metals in Dandenong, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse and storage operations. As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for the receipt, organisation, and dispatch of materials and products, ensuring that our inventory is properly managed and readily accessible to support our distribution activities. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our facility and directly contributes to meeting our customers' delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

- Receiving and checking incoming materials and products, verifying quantities and quality against delivery documentation
- Organising and storing items in designated locations within the warehouse using appropriate storage systems and best practices
- Picking and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and correct labelling
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles and transport containers
- Conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies or damaged items
- Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised in accordance with health and safety requirements
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and competently
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity
- Communicating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment




- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Physical capability to lift, carry and move goods regularly throughout the working day
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or similar machinery, with relevant certifications or willingness to obtain them
- Reliability and commitment to meeting warehouse deadlines and standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Understanding of health and safety practices in warehouse environments
- Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing or metals industry warehouse setting
