Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor – Printing & Packaging

Inter Industrial Services is currently recruiting an experienced Production Supervisor for a leading and well-established print and packaging company located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on production leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a solid understanding of flexographic print, packaging production operations.

n

The Opportunity

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the afternoon shift team and ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements and customer deadlines are consistently achieved.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Lead, supervise and motivate the afternoon shift production team

n

Coordinate daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets

n

Monitor production performance, quality and efficiency

n

Ensure all staff follow workplace health & safety procedures

n

Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks

n

Manage workflow, staffing and production priorities

n

Oversee the production and workflow of all departments: Printing, Slitting,



Bag making and Warehousing to ensure smooth production flow

n

Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential

n

Complete production reporting and communicate shift performance to management

n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or similar

n

Experience within the printing, packaging or manufacturing industry – Flexographic printing experience is highly desirable.

n

Strong leadership and people-management skills

n

Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities

n

The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

n

A strong understanding of workplace health and safety

n

A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front

n

A strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement

n
