Job Description
We've partnered with an established residential builder delivering a diverse portfolio of custom homes, developments and bespoke residential projects across Melbourne.
n
They are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to take ownership of contract administration, permits and compliance across the business. This is a broad, hands‐on role suited to someone who can manage multiple workflows, stay ahead of critical deadlines and proactively resolve issues before they impact construction.

The Role
n
Working closely with construction teams,operations and external consultants, you'll oversee contracts and approval requirements across a diverse pipeline of residential projects. You'll be trusted to take ownership of your workload, maintain visibility across project requirements and ensure contracts, permits and approvals continue moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Administer HIA and relevant commercial contracts across residential projects
n
- Establish and maintain claim schedules and accurate contract documentation
n
- Manage permit and compliance requirements from lodgement through to approval
n
- Coordinate directly with councils, building surveyors and external consultants
n
- Proactively identify missing information and resolve approval roadblocks before they impact construction
n
- Maintain clear visibility across permit status, outstanding requirements, dependencies and next actions
n
- Maintain accurate project information and documentation across internal systems
n
- Contribute to improving processes and creating more efficient ways of managing contracts, permits and approvals
n

About You
n
n
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within residential construction
n
- Sound working knowledge of HIA contracts, claim schedules and residential contract administration
n
- Hands‐on experience managing permits, compliance and approval processes
n
- Confident dealing with councils, building surveyors, consultants and internal construction stakeholders
n
- Highly organised and capable of managing concurrent actions and deadlines
n
- Proactive approach to problem solving, with a willingness to follow issues through to resolution
n
