Perf's Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Rigger to join our growing team, servicing a range of fabrication, maintenance and construction projects throughout the Hunter Valley.

n

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong commitment to safety and enjoys working as part of a team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced boilermakers and tradespeople across a variety of heavy and light fabrication projects and mine sites.

About the Role

n

Working on a Monday to Friday roster, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe lifting, moving and positioning of materials, equipment and fabricated components.

n

Your duties may include:

n

n
- Rigging and safely securing loads
n
- Selecting, inspecting and maintaining lifting equipment and accessories
n
- Assisting with crane and lifting operations
n
- Safely slinging and securing loads
n
- Assisting with the movement and positioning of fabricated steel and equipment
n
- Working closely with crane operators, boilermakers and other trades
n
- Assisting with fabrication, maintenance and installation activities when required
n
- Maintaining lifting equipment and reporting any defects or issues
n
- General workshop and site dutiesMaintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n
- Following all company and mine-site safety procedures
n

What You'll Bring

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

Essential

n

n
- Current High Risk Work Licence – Rigging (RB)
n
- Previous rigging experience
n
- Solid understanding of safe lifting and rigging practices
n
- Ability to safely select and use appropriate lifting equipment and accessories
n
- Ability to work safely around cranes, lifting equipment and mobile plant
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Good communication and teamwork skills
n
- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n

- Previous mine-site experience
