Job Description

A regulated trustee, fund administration and family office platform is seeking a Compliance Manager to own the day-to-day operation of the compliance framework, keep the regulatory obligations register current and defensible, and give Executive leadership and the Board assurance that the licence and its AML/CTF program are being run to standard.

Key Responsibilities:

n

Maintain the day-to-day ASIC and AUSTRAC compliance program and regulatory obligations register, ensuring every licence condition, reportable situation and AML/CTF obligation is mapped to an owner, a control and a monitoring cadence

n

Design, maintain and test compliance frameworks, policies and controls against ASIC (AFS licensing, RG 104, RG 105, reportable situations/breach reporting) and AUSTRAC (AML/CTF Act, ML/TF risk assessment, CDD, transaction and suspicious matter reporting) requirements, including implementation of the 2026 AML/CTF reforms

Act as a primary point of contact for ASIC and AUSTRAC, interpreting new and amended requirements and translating them into practical business change, process and control

n

Oversee and deliver regulatory and AML/CTF training for staff and authorised representatives, evidencing competency and completion

n

Lead incident and breach governance,



quality oversight, root-cause analysis and identification of systemic issues, driving remediation to close

n

Prepare compliance reporting and assurance for Executive leadership, Board Committees and the Board, including obligations status, incident trends, breach reporting and reform-readiness

n

Skills and Experience

n

Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, finance, risk or a related discipline

n

5 years in compliance within financial services, funds management, trustee services or a comparable regulated environment

n

Working knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, AFS licensing obligations and ASIC regulatory guidance

n

Practical, current knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and the 2026 reforms; experience standing up or uplifting an AML/CTF program is highly regarded

n

Experience acting as, or supporting, an AML/CTF Compliance Officer is an advantage

n

A style that translates regulation into operable controls rather than just reading rules, with solid drafting, register discipline and evidence trail, sound judgement under regulator scrutiny, and comfort operating in a high-growth, high-risk group spanning gambling, payments, technology and media
