The Role

n

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Field Operator to join the BetterGROW Land Application team based in Orange. Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will play a key hands-on role in delivering land application services, including the spreading of biosolids and compost, and the injection of waste liquids for beneficial reuse.

This is an outdoor, physically active role working with modern agricultural equipment, where safety, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities include:

n

n
- Operating agricultural machinery such as tractors, spreaders, and loaders
n
- Assisting with the delivery, handling, and application of organic products
n
- Supporting field operations in line with daily plans and schedules
n
- Conducting basic maintenance and pre-start checks on machinery and equipment
n




- Following environmental and regulatory requirements during all operations
n

n

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

n

n
- A strong work ethic and hands-on approach
n
- Experience in agriculture, forestry, or a similar outdoor environment (desirable)
n
- Experience operating agricultural machinery (highly desirable)
n
- Mechanical aptitude (an advantage)
n
- Familiarity with GPS-guided equipment or precision agriculture (an advantage)
n
- Good communication and teamwork skills
n
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills
n
- Robust awareness of workplace health and safety practices
n

n

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, including functional, audiometric, and drug and alcohol testing.
