Randhawa's Indian Cuisine is seeking a dedicated and talented Full-Time Chef to join our culinary team at Shop 14/318 Logan River Road, Waterford QLD 4211.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the seasoning and garnishing of food is done appropriately and the correct portions are served to customers.
n
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
n
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
n
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Prepare, season, and cook food as per à la carte menu, meeting dietary requirements where required.
n
- Demonstrate different styles and methods of cooking to kitchen staff.
n




- Maintain high standards of food hygiene in accordance with regulatory standards.
n
- Implement proper freezing and preservation techniques without compromising quality.
n
- Provide support and assistance across all areas of the kitchen.
n
- Develop current seasonal menus and update existing menus, including pricing adjustments while maintaining cost efficiency.
n
- Resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively.
n
- Ensure occupational health and safety standards are always maintained and followed.
n
- Manage stock including ordering, rotation, and wastage control.
n
- Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate daily activities.
n
- Selecting and training staff.
n
- Maintain consistent quality in food preparation and presentation.
n
- Educate kitchen staff on hygiene regulations and enforce strict sanitary practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

n

- Certificate IV qualification (required)
n
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
n
- Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude
n
- Well-presented and motivated
n
- Ability to work unsupervised under pressure
