Role Description

n

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC for an Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist. The role involves assessing the functional, developmental, and communication needs of children and adults under the NDIS and developing person-centered therapy plans. Daily tasks include delivering one-on-one and group interventions in clients' homes, community settings, and clinic environments, as well as preparing reports, progress notes, and recommendations for funding and support. The therapist will collaborate with families, Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, and other Allied Health professionals to ensure integrated, outcome-focused care. Additional responsibilities include participating in multidisciplinary case discussions, contributing to service development,



and maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with NDIS and professional standards.

Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology, with current AHPRA registration (for OT) or Speech Pathology Australia membership, and eligibility to work under the NDIS.

- Demonstrated skills in assessment and intervention planning for children and adults, including functional assessments, communication assessments, and development of evidence-based therapy plans.

- Experience providing therapy in home, community, and clinic settings, with the ability to adapt approaches to diverse client needs and cultural backgrounds.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients and families, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and write clear clinical reports and documentation.

- Organisational and time-management skills, including caseload management, accurate record-keeping, and use of digital systems for scheduling and telehealth.
n
- Knowledge of the NDIS framework, person-centered practice, and outcome-focused service delivery, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory care.

- Current Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain), valid driver's licence, and willingness to travel locally for home and community visits.

- Previous experience in paediatric or adult disability services, behaviour support, or community health is highly regarded.
