NAT & US PTY. LTD. trading as Agapi Greek , Taprodane Taste of Ceylon and Nunu Fusion Thai is seeking a dynamic, creative and career focused individual to join our culinary team full time. This position provides a great opportunity for a chef looking to develop their skills to further. You will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene guidelines.

To be successful in this role you will have:

n

- Relevant Trade qualification plus Minimum of 1 years' experience
n
- A passion for the food and beverage industry and a willingness to succeed in it
n
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
n
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a busy kitchen workplace
n




- Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
n
- Demonstrated ability to be able to multi task
n

n

Main Duties

n

n
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
n
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
n
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
n
- Preparing and cooking food
n
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
n
- May select and train staff
n
- May freeze and preserve foods
n

Qualification

n

n
- Trade Qualification
n
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalence
n

n

Experience

n

n
- Previous experience: at least 1 year as chef
n
