Cloud Security Architect - Financial Services

A leading Financial Services provider is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to join its Security Architecture team.

n

Embedded within the cloud, platform and engineering teams, you will provide security architecture leadership across a new greenfield hosting platform and other strategically important cloud-native initiatives. You will ensure security is built into platform designs from the outset through reusable patterns, automated guardrails and secure-by-default engineering capabilities.

The role will cover cloud foundations, Kubernetes, container security, CI/CD pipelines, databases and AI-enabled solutions. You will work directly with engineers and product teams to translate security requirements into practical controls that enable delivery while reducing cyber and operational risk.

To be successful in this role you will need:

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications coupled with relevant cloud certification
n
- Demonstrated cloud or cyber security architecture experience within large, complex enterprise environments
n
- Strong cloud-native security architecture experience across AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
n
- Experience securing Kubernetes, container platforms,



serverless services and cloud-hosted workloads
n
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline security, infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code
n
- Experience creating reusable security patterns, reference architectures, standards and engineering guardrails
n
- Knowledge of cloud identity, workload identity, secrets management and non-human identities
n
- Experience with CNAPP, cloud security posture management, vulnerability governance and secure software supply chains
n
- Experience assessing the security risks associated with AI-enabled platforms and workloads would be highly regarded
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to embed effectively within engineering and product teams
