The role has two core responsibilities: maintaining accurate stock control and records in MRPeasy; and keeping all factory equipment and machinery clean. Work with procurement and production teams to ensure materials are available and scheduled cleaning is completed. Equipment care includes routine visual checks and reporting defects; technical servicing and repairs must be referred to authorised personnel.

Key responsibilities

Receive incoming goods and check quantities, condition and specifications against purchase orders and delivery dockets. Record all receipts promptly and accurately in MRPeasy.

Clearly label stock and identify its storage location and, where applicable, the allocated job number. Keep general inventory separate from stock reserved for specific jobs.

Record all stock issues, transfers and returns promptly and accurately in MRPeasy against the relevant job or work in progress (WIP) allocation.

Maintain orderly storage locations and accurate, up-to-date stock quantities, locations and job allocations in MRPeasy. Apply first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles where appropriate.

Conduct monthly stocktakes, reconcile physical stock against MRPeasy, investigate discrepancies and record approved adjustments promptly.

Maintain a minimum 30-day supply of consumables and notify the Procurement Officer promptly of replenishment needs, shortages or delivery risks.

Identify and separate damaged, defective or incorrect goods.



Record discrepancies and coordinate returns or replacements with the Procurement Officer and suppliers.

Track deliveries against purchase orders, confirm the correct job allocations and retain accurate delivery documentation.

Maintain the cleanliness of all factory equipment and machinery, including accessible surfaces, worktables and surrounding work areas.

Agree daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks with the Production Manager and team leads, and complete them to the required standard without disrupting production.

About you

Experience in stock control, inventory coordination or factory operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience using inventory management software, preferably MRPeasy, with sound Excel, data entry and record-keeping skills.

Solid attention to detail, organisation and the ability to prioritise daily stock and cleaning tasks.

Clear communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers, procurement and production teams.

A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving, safe working and factory housekeeping.

A forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one, is advantageous.
