About the role

n

Due to continued growth at our Dandenong South site, Chobani are currently recruiting Day Shift Maintenance Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will play a key part in leading our Maintenance team and supporting operational excellence.

n

Hours for the role are 6:00am-6:00pm, with a shift pattern of 2 days on and 2 days off (working every second weekend), based on-site at our manufacturing facility at Dandenong South.

n

This shift-based role is critical to ensuring plant reliability, maximizing equipment uptime, and supporting production teams to consistently meet performance, safety, and quality targets.

n

As a key member of the maintenance team, you'll be hands-on with fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance,



and the commissioning of new and upgraded equipment, while also contributing to continuous improvement and capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to plant breakdowns and perform maintenance and repairs in a safe, efficient, and timely manner to minimise production downtime
n
- Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and modifications across high-speed manufacturing equipment
n
- Support plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in major capital and process improvement projects
n
- Assist with FAT witnessing, installation, commissioning, and handover of new equipment and processes
n
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues and support shift production targets
n
- Coordinate and work alongside internal maintenance teams and external contractors to deliver maintenance and project outcomes
n
- Train and support manufacturing personnel in the safe and correct operation of plant and equipment

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner (First Class), with a Disconnect/Reconnect License (Class 2)
n




- 5–8 years' experience in maintenance and commissioning within a high-speed manufacturing environment
n
- Experience in Food & Beverage, Dairy, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environments highly regarded
n
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability across mechanical plant and equipment
n
- Sound knowledge of GMP, HACCP, quality and food safety standards, and industrial safety requirements
n
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
n
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call/standby as required
n
