As a 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced electricians and infrastructure crews while continuing your formal apprenticeship training.

You'll gain exposure to:

About the role

n

Working under the direction of qualified and experienced electrical personnel, you will assist with the installation, maintenance and construction of traffic signal and public lighting infrastructure.

n

Key responsibilities

n

- Assisting qualified electricians with electrical works
n
- Installing conduits and underground infrastructure
n
- Cable installation and cable hauling
n
- Assisting with traffic signal installations
n
- Assisting with public lighting installations
n
- Installing electrical pits and infrastructure
n
- Preparing work areas and equipment
n
- Assisting with testing and commissioning
n
- Learning fault-finding techniques
n
- Working safely around roads and live infrastructure
n

REQUIREMENTS

n

Applicants should:

n

n
- Currently be undertaking, or be eligible to commence, an Electrical Apprenticeship
n
- Ideally be 1st or 2nd Year
n
- Hold or be willing to obtain a White Card
n
- Have a driver's licence or be working towards obtaining one
n
- Be willing to work outdoors and on construction sites
n
- Be willing to undertake additional industry training as required
n
