Construction or Engineering Tradie – Train the Next Generation

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will work with partner schools to deliver:

CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways and/or

MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways and/or

CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card).

Key responsibilities

- Delivering practical and theory-based training to senior high school students
- Coaching students and assessing their practical skills
- Building strong relationships with students, teachers and school leaders
- Setting explicit expectations and managing your allocated schools professionally
- Maintaining accurate training and assessment records
- Working independently while contributing effectively as part of the Blue Dog Training team
- Travel across Mackay and regional Central Queensland, potentially including Clermont, Capella and Blackwater
- Travel to Brisbane approximately once every three months for professional development and team activities

About you

- A relevant trade qualification in construction or engineering
- Strong practical experience within your trade
- A genuine interest in helping young people develop their skills




- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good digital literacy and the ability to learn new systems
- The ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team
- Eligibility to obtain a Queensland Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card)
- Experience working with high school-aged students is advantageous
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly regarded but is not essential
- Personal and business use of a company vehicle within reason
- Eight weeks' leave each year
