Accounts Receivable & Customer Administration

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Customer Administration professional to join our team at Big Wet in Doveton, VIC. This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start, offering a salary of $65,000 – $80,000 + superannuation, depending on experience. Supporting a busy and established business with more than 6,000 customers, you will be responsible for accounts receivable, debt collection, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, customer administration and reception duties. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing outstanding accounts and providing excellent service to our customers and suppliers. This is a busy and varied role suited to someone who is organised, reliable, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

Managing accounts receivable and customer accounts

Debt collection and following up overdue accounts

Customer invoicing and payment allocation

Bank reconciliations





Processing supplier invoices and payments

Managing accounts payable

Reconciling customer and supplier accounts

Preparing customer statements and account reports

Investigating and resolving account discrepancies

Responding to customer account and general enquiries

About you

Previous experience in accounts receivable, debt collection, bank reconciliations, customer administration, bookkeeping or finance administration

Strong attention to detail

Confident communicating with customers regarding outstanding accounts and overdue payments in a professional and effective manner

Previous MYOB experience is preferred

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems

Comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently when required

Enjoy being part of a busy, hands-on team setting
