The Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) is the national peak body for Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses in Australia.ACNP is active in advancing nursing practice and improving access to health care.

Our Scholarship Programs team administer Commonwealth Government funded national scholarship programs - the Primary Care Nursing & Midwifery Scholarships and the Aged Care Nursing Scholarships. These scholarships aim to improve the capacity and skills of the aged care workforce and assist registered nurse and midwives to complete postgraduate study to support work in primary care.

Purpose of the position

The Administrative Support Officer – Scholarship Programs plays a key role in supporting the delivery and administration of national scholarship programs. This position provides high‑quality frontline service to scholars, ensures the accuracy of program records, and contributes to effective day‑to‑day operations across the team.

Key Responsibilities





- Provide first‑point‑of‑contact support for scholar enquiries via phone and email, ensuring professional and timely communication
- Maintain accurate scholar profiles and program records across multiple internal systems
- Support program delivery activities, including coordinating promotional materials and assisting with scholarship intake processes
- Assist the management team with diary scheduling, meeting coordination, and administrative tasks
- Perform general office duties including digital filing, data entry, receipting, and document management

Qualifications and Experience

- Demonstrated experience in corporate management support, administration and customer service within a busy or professional environment
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential or sensitive information
- High level organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, KPI‑driven, or remote environments
- Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples or solid understanding of First Nations cultural safety is highly regarded.
- Experience supporting individuals through administrative or professional development processes
