The Role

n

Working in our team of Concreters in our Works unit, you will:

n

n
- Maintain the City's infrastructure assets including concrete footpaths and drainage works
n
- Be responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of concrete footpaths, concrete drainage pits and pipes and other concrete structures
n
- Be responsible for the efficient execution of a wide range of maintenance tasks including, drainage, concreting, paving, asphalting and earthworks and having special regard to customer requirements and cost
n
- Safely and efficiently operate a range of plant associated with maintenance and construction activities, which may include concreting equipment, trucks, excavator, backhoe and skid steer.

- Maintain quality standards of the work performed
n
- Ensure the routine servicing of plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
n

This role works a 9 day fortnight (RDO) with standard hours Monday – Friday 7am to 4pm and every second Friday finishing at 3:30pm. Our depot is based at Adam Street, Golden Square where you will travel out to site to service the City of Greater Bendigo area.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Knowledge and skills in concreting, general road maintenance and civil construction
n
- Experience in the secure use of concreting equipment and/or driving of trucks, excavator, backhoe, skid steer
n




- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a safe and efficient worksite with knowledge of OH&S; principles & practices
n
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written
n
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and positively in a team environment
n

- A pre-employment medical

- Satisfactory police records check

- Current Drivers licence with MR endorsement (HR licence is desirable)
n
- Construction Induction Card
n
- Current worksite traffic management and traffic controller's certificate (desirable)
