The Flying Fox is looking for an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team at our newly opened Richmond venue. We're seeking a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, leads by example and is passionate about delivering genuine service, building strong teams and creating memorable dining experiences that keep guests coming back.

About The Flying Fox

Nestled on Bridge Road, our venue blends the warmth of a classic neighbourhood pub with the character of a modern London local. Downstairs, the Front Bar is perfect for drinks, bar snacks and casual dining, with independent beers on tap, British-inspired cocktails, pool, tv screens for sports fans and relaxed seating throughout.

Upstairs, our Bistro seats up to 50pax and offers a more elevated dining experience with full table service, exposed brick, banquette seating and its own bar.

Our menu pairs refined pub classics and British-inspired dishes, complemented by Australian and European wines, independent craft beers and locally brewed British-style cask ales. Whether you're stopping by for a pint and a scotch egg or settling in for a long lunch or dinner, there's a space for every occasion.

The Role

n

You'll oversee the day-to-day restaurant operations,



leading the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service while driving performance across food, beverage and functions.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead daily restaurant operations and service
n
- Train and develop the front-of-house team
n
- Manage service standards
n
- Support and grow function and event bookings
n
- Maintain high presentation and operational standards
n
- Work closely with ownership to drive business success
n

About You

n

n
- 2+ years' experience in a Restaurant Manager or Venue Manager role
n
- Strong leadership and people management skills
n
- Operational and financial management understanding
n
- Excellent wine knowledge
n
- Passion for hospitality, food, wine and guest experience
n
- Highly organised, proactive and hands-on
n
- Experience with functions and events is highly regarded
n
- Knowledge of British and European cuisine highly regarded
n
