Quality Management System & Compliance Engineer

Unison Solar Energy is strengthening its quality function to support the next phase of our growth. We are recruiting a Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance Engineer to lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of our Quality Management System, compliance frameworks and audit readiness across the business.

In this role, you will lead QMS activities including document control, internal and external audits, compliance registers, management reporting and continual improvement, while partnering with teams across operations and the laboratory to identify gaps and strengthen performance.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in building scalable quality systems for a rapid-growing renewable energy business, while helping establish the standards and processes that underpin reliable solar products.

Responsibilities

- Lead and continually improve Unison Solar Energy’s Quality Management System (QMS) to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Own document and records management, ensuring quality information is controlled, accurate, accessible and audit ready.
- Lead internal, customer, certification and compliance audits, coordinating preparation, evidence, findings and close-out.
- Drive nonconformity, deviation and processes, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and verified.
- Champion certification, regulatory and audit readiness, identifying opportunities to strengthen quality systems and processes.
- Partner with teams across the business to identify quality and compliance gaps and drive continual improvement initiatives.

What you will bring

- A Bachelor’s degree,



diploma or equivalent professional experience in Quality, Engineering, Business Systems, Compliance or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated QMS, document control, internal audit or compliance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and manufacturing quality management system requirements.
- A proven track record managing document control, nonconformances, CAPA, internal audits, management reviews and corrective actions.
- Experience applying quality risk management, change control and continual improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear procedures, reports, audit findings and management information.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to coordinate and drive actions across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive continual improvement.
