Apprentice Butcher or Fully Qualified Butcher

PK Free Range Butcher - We are based in Mt Waverley and are currently looking for either an enthusiastic APPRENTICE Butcher (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice) OR a fully QUALIFIED BUTCHER to join our friendly team.

About the Role - Either Apprentice Butcher (Full-time) OR a Qualified Butcher (Full-time or Part-time)

n

This is an opportunity for an individual passionate about food and eager to develop their skills in the butcher trade.

n

If you are already a knowledgeable and experienced butcher, we would love to hear from you! This position can be either part-time or full-time to suit you.

n

If you are interested in the role as a full time Apprentice Butcher, you will be working closely with the owner of the business who will provide you with valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support.

n

The applicant must have a passionate love of their trade and can offer a well-rounded set of skills in food knowledge. Moreover, you will have exceptional customer service skills and willingness to learn.

Your main duties include but not limited to:

- Prepare, slice and trim meat products
n
- Sausage making
n
- Produce and sell value-added products
n
- Providing great customer service when interacting with our valued clients is essential
n
- Preparing and presenting high-quality meat products
n
- Apply hygiene and sanitation practices to Standards
n

and we need someone who is consistently dependable and ready to work.

- Keen to learn all aspects of the trade

- Willingness to learn - Whether you're a first-year apprentice or a qualified butcher, a commitment to growing your skills and knowledge is essential. You will be involved in all aspects of the trade, from meat preparation to customer service.

- Professional Presentation - We are committed to delivering excellent service and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

- A passion for food - You must have a genuine love for the food industry, with an interest in working with high-quality, free-range meats.
n
- A team player with a good attitude and work ethic - The ability to collaborate with others is vital. You will work alongside skilled butchers and other team members to meet the needs of our customers.

- Hard working and focused - We are looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and dedication to the job.
