Whizdom is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join a growing and technology-driven organisation with a significant national footprint. This role will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the organisation's network infrastructure while contributing to its ongoing cloud transformation strategy.

The successful candidate will bring a strong networking background, hold a CCNA certification (or equivalent experience), and possess hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both traditional networking and modern cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPN solutions.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Manage and support Azure networking services including Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, and associated cloud infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless environments across multiple locations.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity, performance, and security issues.
- Support cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Work closely with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure network security best practices are maintained.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrade, migration, and cloud transformation projects.
- Perform system monitoring, patching, maintenance, and capacity planning.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.




- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support when required.
- Assist with disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.

Skills & Experience

- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in Network Administration or Infrastructure Administration roles.
- Strong experience with:
- Cisco networking technologies
- Routing and switching
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- VPN technologies
- Firewall administration
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code or automation tools.
- Experience supporting multi-site environments.
