The Learning Diversity Leader reports directly to the Principal and the Deputy Principal - Student Engagement, is a member of the Leadership Team and oversees programs and resources. Key requirements
- Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Victorian Institute of Teaching,
together with relevant teaching qualifications and post-graduate studies (completed or underway) relevant to learning diversity.
- Commitment to Queen of Peace’s mission, values, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
- A strong commitment to neuroaffirming practices and a positive, strengths-based mindset are essential. We welcome applicants who prioritise creating an inclusive environment for all learners.
- Demonstrated expertise or a robust foundation in positive behaviour support and classroom management strategies is essential, with a welcoming approach that promotes positive student engagement and well-being.
- Demonstrated understanding of NCCD requirements is essential.
- Postgraduate qualifications or additional study in Special Education/ Inclusive Education are highly regarded. Applications from educators eager to learn and grow in this area are welcomed.
- Knowledge or experience of MTSS is advantageous.
