We're seeking an experienced Chef / Cook Attendant to join our team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. This role is vital in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

What You'll Do

- Prepare and cook menu items with consistency and quality.
- Minimise food waste and manage ingredient preparation.
- Coordinate kitchen and service areas to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain food safety standards, including correct storage, rotation, and temperature control.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor hot and cold food cabinets and maintain correct holding temperatures.
- Ensure excellent presentation and customer service.

What You'll Bring

- At least 1 year experience in a busy kitchen
- Solid knowledge of food safety and allergen management.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or wllingness to obtain)
