We’re working with an established technology business based in Cambridge that is continuing to expand its engineering teams and develop a range of new products.

They are looking for a Test Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering environment, contributing to the testing and validation of both software and hardware-based systems.

The role

- Develop and improve testing processes across new and existing products
- Create and maintain automated test solutions alongside manual testing
- Work closely with software, hardware and systems engineers throughout the product lifecycle
- Identify issues early and help drive improvements in product quality and reliability
- Take ownership of testing activities and contribute to the wider engineering strategy
- Work on a variety of new and evolving products

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in software, embedded or systems testing
- Comfortable working across both manual and automated testing
- Experience developing or maintaining automated test scripts/frameworks
- Programming or scripting experience, ideally with Python, C# or a similar language
- Familiarity with common testing, defect tracking or test management tools
- Experience working within a hardware/software development environment would be advantageous
- Background in communications, electronics or another technology-led industry would be beneficial, but isn't essential

Desirable to have

- 4G or 5G experience
- Worked with DMR devices or mobile phones
