About the Role

As a Horse Attendant, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day care and management of horses while assisting with operational activities across the facility.

This is a hands-on role that requires previous horse handling experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a structured environment.



As part of a business that operates to strict schedules and operational requirements, you'll need to be reliable, adaptable and capable of maintaining high standards of horse care while managing competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily horse care, feeding and stable management

- Safe handling and preparation of horses

- Monitoring horse health, behaviour and wellbeing

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and biosecurity

- Assisting with loading and unloading horses

- Supporting day-to-day operational activities

- Maintaining accurate records and documentation

- Following workplace health and safety requirements

- Working collaboratively to meet operational schedules and timeframes

About You

- Have previous horse handling experience

- Be confident working with horses of varying temperaments

- Have a genuine commitment to horse welfare and care

- Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills

- Be able to work to schedules and adapt to changing operational requirements

- Remain calm and focused in a busy setting

- Be reliable, punctual and professional in your approach

- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders

What Will Set you Apart

- Racing industry experience

- Breeding, stud or pre-training experience

- Knowledge of horse behaviour and general horse health

- Experience working within a regulated or biosecure environment

- Current driver's licence
