We are a growing insurance group that supports a network of underwriting agencies through our AFSL and partnership platform. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Finance Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our finance operations.

About the role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance and bookkeeping functions of the business. This role offers genuine ownership and the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities into trust account management as the business grows. You will work closely with underwriting teams, brokers, insurers, external accountants and key stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Payroll processing and administration
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Preparation and coordination of BAS, payroll tax, superannuation and other statutory obligations
- Premium, commission and insurer settlement processing
- Corporate card administration and expense management




- Management reporting and financial reporting support
- Assisting with month-end processes and finance system improvements
- Supporting trust account administration and management

About you

- Previous bookkeeping, finance coordination or assistant accountant experience (2+years)
- Robust working knowledge of Xero (essential)
- Experience managing payroll, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Understanding of BAS, GST and statutory compliance requirements
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and ability to work independently
- Experience within insurance or financial services will be highly regarded
