SoilWorx is seeking an experienced and reliable Street Sweeper / Water Cart Operator to join our operations team based in Ardeer.

About the Role

Safely operating street sweepers and water carts across our operational yards and sites. The role involves keeping yards, roadways and work areas clean, carrying out dust suppression, maintaining environmental standards and assisting with general site upkeep. You will also be required to use vacuum and suction equipment to clean out pits, drains and sediment areas, including the removal of built-up water, mud, silt and debris.

Applicants must be available to work between 5:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a casual position, with the opportunity to discuss permanent employment following the successful completion of a six-month trial period.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Safely operating street sweepers and water carts
- Sweeping operational yards, roadways and work areas
- Carrying out dust suppression across sites
- Using vacuum and suction equipment to clean out pits and drains
- Removing water, mud, silt and debris from drainage and sediment areas
- Maintaining clean, safe and organised operational yards
- Completing daily pre-start inspections
- Completing the correct shut-down and end-of-day cleaning process for the street sweeper
- Completing relevant site and compliance documentation
- Reporting machine defects,



hazards and environmental risks immediately
- Maintaining vehicles and equipment and treating company property with care
- General yard duties as required
- Following all SoilWorx safety and environmental procedures
- Working closely with yard staff and management to maintain efficient operations

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience operating street sweepers, water carts or similar equipment
- A current HR licence
- Experience using vacuum or suction equipment will be highly regarded
- Availability between 5:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
- A strong understanding of workplace safety
- A good understanding of environmental and EPA compliance requirements
- A solid work ethic
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to carry out hands‑on pit and drain cleaning duties
- Pride in their work and the equipment they operate
- Experience within the civil construction, quarry, recycling, earthmoving, waste management or bulk materials industry will be highly regarded.
