This position involves supporting a young adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through community participation, independent living and capacity-building activities that promote confidence, routine and everyday life skills.

n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Providing transport to and from the local supermarket for the participant and his two small, friendly dogs
n
- Encouraging independence while the participant completes their grocery shopping
n
- Assisting with unpacking groceries and organising the kitchen
n
- Preparing meals and portioning food into containers for the week
n
- Light cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and work areas following meal preparation
n
- Supporting a clean, safe and organised home setting
n
- Building positive rapport while encouraging independence and community participation
n
- Completing professional session notes following each shift
n

About you

n

- Passionate about supporting young people to build confidence and independence
n
- Experience supporting people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or a strong understanding of autism-informed support practices
n
- Patient, reliable and professional
n




- Enjoys community participation and practical daily living supports
n
- Can work independently and take initiative
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Values consistency and building long-term relationships with participants
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence
n
- Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
n
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
n
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
