We're hiring a Finance Business Partner to join the Lotus People team in our Sydney HQ on a 13-month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave. This is a hands-on opportunity for a commercially minded finance skilled who thrives in a dynamic SME environment and wants to work closely with a leadership team who value insight, structure and proactive thinking. You'll support the end-to-end finance function alongside our Director team, reporting to the Director of Client Partnerships, bringing commercial thinking, strong process and real partnership across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cashflow management
- Oversee AP/AR, credit control, invoicing and reconciliations
- Oversee our outsourced payroll provider, reviewing weekly temp and permanent payroll for accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial reports, board packs and weekly margin reporting
- Ensure compliance with tax, super, BAS, PAYG and payroll tax lodgements
- Manage award rate changes, workers compensation, Labour Hire Licence reporting and insurance renewals
- Partner with our leadership team to bring commercial insight and variance analysis to monthly catch-ups
- Drive tighter debtor management, including client follow-up and holding consultants to account
- Support our ongoing Kamal finance platform rollout
- Identify process improvements, automation and efficiencies across finance
- Liaise with external partners including auditors, payroll providers, insurers etc

What we're looking for:

- 3 to 5 years' experience in a finance role, ideally within the recruitment industry or professional services
- Working towards CA/CPA or fully qualified




- You will be willing to complete background checks including National Police Check
- Solid experience with Xero and cloud-based financial systems
- Familiarity with recruitment-specific systems such as JobAdder or Astute highly regarded
- A commercial mindset with an appetite for real business partnering
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across the business
- High level of ownership, integrity and proactivity
