About the Role
We’re looking for afriendly, organised and compassionate Receptionistto join our team.
As the welcoming face of our clinic, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive and supportive experience for our clients and their families. You’ll be someone who enjoys working with people, communicates confidently and takes pride in providing warm and skilled service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting and welcoming clients to the clinic
- Managing phone, in-person and online enquiries
- Scheduling and rescheduling appointments and filling appointment cancellations
- Staying in close communication with our Speech Pathologists, both in the clinic and remotely
- Maintaining accurate records and completing data entry in our practice management software
- Processing payments in person and over the phone via HICAPS.
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and welcoming clinic environment
- Supporting the broader team with general administration
- Escalating queries to the Director or Admin Lead when required
About You
You’re apeople-focused, proactive and organisedperson who understands that reception is about much more than answering phones and booking appointments.
You take pride in a well-organised office and enjoy providing friendly, efficient and thoughtful service to clients and their families.
You’ll be comfortable working with children and families, able to build rapport quickly and confident managing competing priorities. You’ll bring a calm and positive approach to your work and enjoy being part of a close‑knit team of speech pathologists and admin colleagues.
You’ll Need
- Strong communication and computer skills
- A current Working with Children Check
- Permanent Australian working rights with no restrictions
- A minimum of 2 years’ reception or administration experience in a healthcare setting
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Familiarity with NDIS and Medicare referral pathways
- Confidence using practice management software
- Cliniko experience (a bonus)
What You’ll Get
- A 2–3 day work week
- Hourly rate of $31-$33. You will be paid $31 per hour during your training.
