Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking experienced Advanced Riggers for upcoming opportunities across WA mining, resources and construction projects.

With immediate starts available, this is a great opportunity for experienced riggers looking to secure their next project and get to work quickly.

THE ROLE
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of advanced rigging and lifting activities, working alongside experienced site teams to ensure equipment and materials are safely and efficiently moved, installed and positioned.

Typical duties may include:

- Carrying out advanced rigging and lifting activities
- Rigging and dogging heavy equipment, structures and components
- Assisting with equipment installation, dismantling and relocation
- Working with cranes, lifting equipment and associated rigging gear
- Conducting pre-start inspections and checking lifting equipment
- Selecting appropriate lifting equipment and rigging methods
- Reading and interpreting lifting plans and relevant documentation
- Working closely with crane operators, trades and site personnel




- Ensuring all lifting activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safety

ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:

- Relevant Advanced Rigging qualification/licence
- Previous experience within mining, resources, construction or heavy industry
- Demonstrated experience with complex rigging and lifting activities
- Strong understanding of lifting procedures and secure work practices
- Ability to read and understand lifting plans
- Strong commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Current relevant tickets and competencies
- Ability to pass site medical and drug & alcohol screening
