Mechanical Fitters & Milling Machine Operators | $52–$58/hr | Monday–Friday | Brendale

Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Milling Machine Operators to join an established workshop based in Brendale.

These are ongoing positions with the potential for long-term/permanent work for the right candidates.

MECHANICAL FITTERS | 1–2 POSITIONS We are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters with a strong mechanical background and proven experience working with pumps and gearboxes.

Your duties will include:

- Stripping, assessing, refurbishing and reassembling pumps and gearboxes
- Mechanical repairs, maintenance and refurbishment
- Identifying faults and assessing component condition
- Reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Using workshop machinery and hand tools
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, quality and safety

Strong pump and gearbox refurbishment experience is essential.

MILLING MACHINE OPERATORS | 1–2 POSITIONS
We are seeking highly experienced Milling Machine Operators with strong knowledge of machine setup and operation.

The successful candidates will have:

- Extensive milling experience




- Strong knowledge of milling machine setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience selecting tooling, setting speeds/feeds and completing accurate machining
- Robust understanding of machining tolerances and measurements
- Ability to work independently and produce quality components
- Previous workshop/manufacturing experience

The more experienced you are with milling setup, the better!
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters and/or experienced Milling Machine Operators
- Strong mechanical or machining background
- Relevant workshop experience
- High attention to detail and quality
- Reliable and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
