The Opportunity

Our client is a large, privately-owned Australian business with operations spanning construction and infrastructure-adjacent services. The organisation places significant weight on transparent, high-quality reporting to its ownership group, and this newly created role sits right at the centre of that relationship.
This is a genuinely broad position, built around the year-end reporting cycle and direct liaison with the business's shareholders. You'll work closely with the internal Deputy CFO, who is the key link between the business and its shareholders, and you'll be the primary point of contact for all shareholder reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all shareholder reporting requirements, from monthly and annual packs through to KPI compliance
- Lead the year-end reporting and audit process, liaising directly with shareholder representatives
- Coordinate ad hoc shareholder queries and reporting requests
- Provide technical accounting advice across the group on key transactions and standard changes




- Prepare consolidated financial statements and manage the solvency declaration process
- Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers

What we're looking for:
Mandarin fluency is essential for this role — candidates without it will not be considered.
Beyond language, we're looking for someone with:

- Solid statutory and year-end reporting experience
- Confidence dealing directly with shareholders and holding your own with senior stakeholders
- Sound technical accounting knowledge, ideally CA/CPA qualified
- The judgement to manage sensitive reporting matters across cultures
