This position is primarily based within a community clinic environment and offers the opportunity to work within a kaupapa Māori model of care, with a strong emphasis on equity, access, and culturally responsive practice. You will be supported by a broader network of experienced GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals, ensuring clinical collaboration and continuity of care.
The service operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, offering a structured workday with no after-hours or weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive primary care including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and long-term conditions
- Deliver patient- and whānau-centred care focused on improving long-term health outcomes
- Order, interpret, and action diagnostic investigations appropriately
- Maintain continuity of care through proactive management of ongoing health needs
- Refer and coordinate care with external providers and services as required
- Promote preventative health through education and lifestyle interventions
- Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and adherence to best practice standards
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated, high-quality care delivery

About You

- Vocationally registered (or working towards) with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Strong clinical acumen with a commitment to patient- and whānau-centred care
- Experience working with diverse and/or high-needs populations
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in healthcare




- Minor surgery skills and familiarity with Medtech (or similar PMS) advantageous
