Our client is expanding its team for ongoing residential, commercial, and mine site projects. We are currently seeking experienced, self-motivated tradespeople to join our crew on a 2/1 FIFO roster in the Pilbara.

About the Opportunity

Zeal Personnel is seeking a Qualified Carpenter (or equivalent experience) with a proven background in residential framing, fit-outs, and renovations.

The ideal candidate will bring a high standard of craftsmanship to our residential, commercial, and site projects, with an Elevating Work Platform (EWP) ticket preferred to assist with specialized dome and awning installations.

Previous mine site experience and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety are highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Qualification: The ideal candidate holds a Certificate III in Concreting or possesses equivalent hands-on trade experience.

Core Competencies: Candidates should be proficient in formwork setup, steel mesh placement, concrete pouring, screeding, and applying structural or decorative finishes.

Site Preparation: Applicants must have practical experience preparing sites, setting up edge boards and boxing, and executing ground prep for footings and slabs.

Licences and Tickets: A current Construction Induction White Card is mandatory, while operational tickets such as EWP, skid steer, excavator, or an HR driver's licence are highly desirable.

Safety and Compliance: Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to site safety standards, quality control, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary site team.

Skills & Experience Required

Structural Construction & Dome Shelter Installation:



Experience assembling steel frames, dome shelters, lean-to extensions, sheds, and temporary site structures, requiring precise alignment, structural bolting, and working safely off ground level using an Elevating Work Platform (EWP).

Earthworks & Site Preparation: Hands-on capability operating earthmoving equipment—specifically skid steers and excavators—to clear terrain, perform detailed earthworks, strip topsoil, and execute precise site levelling prior to construction.

Vacuum Excavation & Utility Protection: Proficient in non-destructive vacuum extraction techniques to safely expose underground services, explicit sensitive utility corridors, and perform precise trenching without damaging sub-surface infrastructure.

Footings & Civil Foundations: Skilled in trenching, layout, and excavation for structural footings, grade beams, and civil foundations to design specifications.

Concrete Prep, Steel & Pour Operations: Full-cycle concreting expertise covering boxing, formwork setup, mesh/rebar placement and tying, precise concrete pouring, screeding, and finishing for slabs, footings, and structural civil elements.

Trades Assistant & General Site Labouring: Versatile site support providing reliable assistance to lead tradespeople, managing material handling,



tool maintenance, site cleanup, and ensuring strict adherence to site safety protocols.

Heavy Transport Logistics (HR Licence): Qualified Heavy Rigid (HR) driver capable of transporting site machinery, hauling materials, operating medium-to-heavy site support vehicles, and assisting with mobile logistics across civil and remote construction environments.

Desirable Tickets & Licences:

- Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
- Excavator and Skid Steer competencies
- Elevating Work Platform (EWP) ticket
- Working at Heights certification (completed within the last 2 years)
- Full Australian working rights
