With continued growth across the firm, they are now looking for an experienced Associate Adviser to join the team.

The Role

This is an ideal prospect for an experienced Business Services Accountant who is ready to move beyond being predominantly compliance-focused and take the next step towards becoming a genuine client adviser. Someone who is looking to develop their commercial and advisory capability, deepen their client relationships and ultimately take greater ownership of a portfolio.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with Client Advisers and Lead Advisers to deliver high-quality accounting, tax and business advice
- Assist with the management of a portfolio of clients and their ongoing compliance requirements
- Review financial statements and tax returns across a variety of entities and groups
- Prepare more complex financial statements and tax returns
- Develop strong, genuine relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact
- Assist Advisers in identifying client needs and opportunities to provide additional value




- Take responsibility for mentoring and developing junior Accountants
- Maintain solid technical knowledge across taxation legislation and relevant industry developments
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, efficiency and the overall client experience

About You

We're looking for someone who has built a strong technical foundation in Australian public practice but is now looking for more.

You'll enjoy working directly with clients, be commercially minded and confident contributing ideas rather than simply waiting for instructions.

- 4+ years' experience within Australian public practice
- CA or CPA qualification
- Sound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation
- Experience working with cloud-based accounting and finance technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior accountants
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
- Genuine interest in developing deeper client relationships and moving further into advisory
