Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced TO6/1 Senior Fire Services Engineer to provide specialist technical expertise across fire safety and fire systems.

This role will undertake detailed analysis and evaluation of fire system designs and existing site installations, ensuring functionality, safety and compliance with relevant Australian and Queensland requirements. You will provide expert technical advice, critically review designs and performance solutions, and work closely with project teams and stakeholders throughout design and construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of fire system designs and existing site installations.
- Critically review and challenge fire system designs and performance solutions, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
- Prepare detailed technical reports outlining findings, recommendations and supporting justification.
- Provide expert fire safety and fire systems advice to clients, project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure fire safety requirements are effectively incorporated into building designs and construction.
- Undertake site inspections and testing to verify building fire interface matrices.
- Provide practical and compliant solutions to complex fire services issues.

To be successful,



you will bring:

- Proven experience designing wet and dry fire systems across a range of building types.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate, critique and improve fire system designs and performance solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare explicit, concise and evidence-based technical advice and reports.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant Queensland and Australian fire safety codes, standards and regulations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to constructively challenge designs and recommend practical, innovative and compliant solutions.
- Relevant qualifications in fire engineering or a related discipline.

Highly Desirable
- Experience with performance-based design and alternative solutions.
- Registration or professional accreditation such as RPEQ and/or CPEng is highly desirable but not mandatory.
