About the role:

Our centre has eight rooms catering for children from babies through to Kindergarten. We are licensed for up to 142 children and operate across multiple levels.

As our Centre Chef, you’ll play an important role in supporting the health, wellbeing and development of the children by preparing fresh, nutritious and appealing meals each day.

While experience cooking specifically for children is highly regarded, it is not essential. What’s most important is your passion for food, strong understanding of dietary requirements and allergies, excellent hygiene practices, and willingness to be part of our centre community.

About you:

- Plan, prepare and serve healthy, balanced and appealing meals
- Have a strong understanding of food allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements
- Follow strict allergy-management and dietary procedures
- Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Manage kitchen ordering, deliveries, stock and general kitchen duties
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Centre Management team
- Demonstrate excellent time-management and organisational skills
- Communicate positively with educators, children and families
- Be passionate, reliable and enthusiastic about your role
- Enjoy interacting with children and becoming a valued part of the centre community
- Be committed to ongoing learning,



training and career development in food safety and allergy management

What you’ll bring:

Our new Centre Chef will have

- Experience and a genuine passion for working with children and families
- Food Handling Safety Certificate and Food Allergens Certificate
- Excellent knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to follow instructions and strictly adhere to individual dietary requirements
- A current Working with Children Check and any other required training
- Valid Australian working rights
