Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) is currently welcoming applications from Stage 2 and Stage 3 ACEM trainees to join us in Townsville at the Mater Private Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity to continue your emergency medicine training within an ACEM-accredited private emergency department, supported by experienced FACEM mentors, flexible rostering, and a collaborative team culture focused on learning and development.

Remuneration
$200,000 - $300,000 per annum.

About the opportunity
Our Townsville site was the first site we opened at PEHA and it is an ACEM-accredited private emergency department, with Dr Phil Gaudin, one of the Founders of PEHA as the Clinical Director.

The department provides exposure to a broad range of adult and paediatric presentations within a well-supported private hospital environment. Trainees benefit from close FACEM supervision, strong teaching support,



and the opportunity to spend more time focused on clinical care and learning.

The department is supported by comprehensive hospital services, including:

- Onsite radiology
- Onsite pathology
- Cardiac cath lab
- Intensive Care Unit
- Access to admitting specialists across multiple disciplines

Located in Tropical North QLD, your weekends could be spent in Magnetic Island, seeing wild Koalas, whilst enjoying the amazing weather North QLD has to offer.

About You
You are a Stage 2 or Stage 3 ACEM trainee looking for a training environment that supports your progression through the ACEM program, including exam preparation and advancement through advanced training.

You value strong mentorship, approachable leadership, and a workplace culture that encourages professional growth, collaboration, and balance.

You may also be interested in building a long-term career within a growing national emergency medicine network, with future opportunities for FACEM roles across the PEHA network following completion of training.
