About us:
Collarts (and its predecessor, Ausmusic) began more than 30 years ago with just three programs, a handful of students, and a small team of passionate lecturers. Founded on music and audio – a proudly rock'n'roll start – we've grown into one of Australia's leading creative education providers.
Today, operating as Collarts, we teach more than 2,000 students from over 30 countries across four campuses and in 50 partner high schools. We offer 24 degree programs and 5 vocational certificates, and are ranked Australia #1 Creative Arts Course Provider according to the 2025 Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) national surveys. Our community includes ARIA Award winners, renowned actors and playwrights, leading film directors, DOLBY Atmos practitioners, and some of Australia's most respected educators and creative industry professionals.
In 2024, we launched our new strategic plan, Creativity on Purpose: a bold roadmap focused on reach, engagement, sustainability, and quality.
Looking ahead, we're expanding our reach into new markets, developing industry-led postgraduate education, and investing in world-class online and on-campus experiences.
