About Curriculum and Learning

The Curriculum and Learning Division is responsible for supporting educators within the public education system to provide the best

learning possible to our children and young people. Driving its work is the Strategy for Public Education and the achievement of

our ambitions for our learners. The Division has responsibility for all curriculum and learning initiatives, policies, and programmes

and has recently undergone a functional design process resulting in the establishment of six directorates, four of which are new to the division.

The directorates are:

- Aboriginal Education
- Curriculum
- Curriculum Strategy and Planning
- Curriculum Connections and Engagement
- Early Years Curriculum and Learning
- Learning and Teaching

The Curriculum Strategy and Planning directorate is responsible for division-wide performance monitoring, strategic planning and advice. It oversees project management, research, data management and evaluations, and coordinates policies and briefings across the division, in consultation with subject matter experts.

About the roles:

ASO6 - Data Coordinator, Curriculum Projects:

The Data Coordinator, Curriculum Projects is part of a team of policy analysts, briefing officers and research and evaluation officers,

and provides support to a team of project managers. The role is responsible for coordinating identification, collection, analysis,

and reporting of data to support evaluation of projects. The role connects data collection at project level with broader activity

across the division and department to ensure efficient and effective use of data to support evidence-based decision-making. The role manages relationships with data custodians and curates and





maintains systems for data collection, use, visualisation and quality assurance.

Qualifications

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Relevant qualification in public policy, public health, psychology, economics or similar with a focus on data management and analysis. Experience in an education context

ASO6 - Evaluation Officer, Curriculum Projects

The Policy and Research team develops divisional policy, provides a briefing unit for the division and leads research and evaluation of

division-wide projects and programs. The Evaluation Officer, Curriculum Projects designs, implements and manages monitoring and

evaluation of projects across division and provides specialist expertise to assess the reach, effectiveness and impact of education initiatives delivered by the division.

The Evaluation Officer, Curriculum Projects supports the implementation of evaluation frameworks and plans, develops data collection tools and

methodologies, and contributes to evidence-based decision-making that improves outcomes for educators and learners.

Qualifications

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Relevant qualification in Evaluation, Social Sciences or related field or equivalent experience. Previous experience in an education-related role.

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO6 $105,747- $111,854 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
