Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible for the Right Person

D&C; Demolition is an established Adelaide demolition contractor specialising in commercial demolition, internal strip-outs, partial demolition and residential demolition.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Estimator to take ownership of our estimating and help maintain a strong and consistent pipeline of upcoming work.

We're open to both full-time and part-time applicants and are more interested in finding the right person than fitting someone into a rigid five-day position.

The flexibility of this role could suit an experienced estimator looking for a better work/life balance, a working parent looking for school-friendly or part-time hours, or someone looking to step away from the demands of a larger corporate setting.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to quotation and follow-up, working independently with support from the Director when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing demolition tenders, drawings and scopes of work

- Completing take-offs and preparing detailed estimates

- Attending site inspections and tender meetings where required

- Building labour, plant, waste and subcontractor allowances

- Preparing and submitting quotations and tenders

- Following up submitted quotes and opportunities

- Keeping track of upcoming projects and tender opportunities

- Maintaining relationships with existing builders and clients

- Following up previous clients and new opportunities

- Maintaining an organised estimating and tender pipeline

- Completing clear project handovers once work is secured

You'll have the autonomy to manage and price projects independently, with the Director available to assist with larger, complex or higher-risk projects where required.

Who We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in construction estimating, demolition, commercial construction,



fit-out or a similar field.

Direct demolition estimating experience would be highly regarded, however it isn't essential. We're happy to teach the demolition-specific side of estimating to someone with strong construction knowledge and estimating experience.

We're looking for someone who:

- Can confidently read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

- Has a strong understanding of construction methodology

- Can prepare estimates and quotations independently

- Is organised and follows opportunities through

- Is confident communicating with builders, project managers and clients

- Can manage their own workload and priorities

- Has strong attention to detail

- Understands the importance of winning the right work at the right price

About D&C; Demolition

D&C; Demolition is based in Lonsdale and services projects throughout Adelaide and South Australia.

We operate our own demolition crews, plant and equipment, skip bin trucks and EPA-licensed waste sorting facility, allowing us to manage projects from demolition through to waste removal and recycling.

We're a hands-on, owner-operated business with a growing team and a strong focus on continuing to grow our commercial demolition division.

This position will have genuine responsibility and autonomy, with the opportunity to take ownership of the estimating side of the business.

Flexible Working Arrangement

We're open to discussing a working arrangement that suits the right person.

This could include:

- Full-time employment

- 3–4 days per week

- School-friendly hours

- Reduced hours across five days

- Flexible start and finish times

- A part-time arrangement for a working parent

- An experienced estimator looking to reduce their working week

Salary or hourly rate will be negotiated based on experience and the agreed working arrangement.
