The Role: (Max Appointment till 28 May 2027)

Working closely with key stakeholders, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to join our dedicated Office of Local Government (OLG) team to support Aboriginal communities and homeland organisations to strengthen local service delivery capacity, as well as administrative capability and employment outcomes through community-controlled service delivery arrangements.

This role reports directly to the Director OLG and is responsible for managing the distribution of funds on an annual basis to a variety of service delivery bodies, including Aboriginal communities, councils and private service providers.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

- Managing a service delivery program, budget and outcomes.
- Develop productive relationships with communities and representative organisations.
- Facilitate consultation, negotiation and problem solving regarding program delivery and funding matters.




- Work collaboratively with government and non-government stakeholders to improve service delivery outcomes.

Desirable Qualification:

Experience delivering programs or services in regional, remote or culturally diverse environments.

Experience managing community development, infrastructure or local government related programs.

Experience supporting governance, organisational capability development or service delivery improvement initiatives within Aboriginal organisations.

Special Conditions

Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal may be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

ASO8 – $130,046 min – $134,956 max plus superannuation.
