Your key responsibilities

- Deliver individualised support that reflects each participant’s goals, preferences and support plans.

- Assist with daily living, personal care, household tasks, transport and community participation.

- Support people with complex needs, including behaviours of concern, using agreed strategies and positive behaviour support plans.

- Build respectful, professional relationships with participants, families and the wider support team.

- Recognise changes in wellbeing, behaviour or safety and promptly report concerns through the appropriate channels.

- Complete accurate, objective and timely progress notes, incident reports and other required records.

- Provide medication assistance and other specialised supports only where appropriately trained, assessed and authorised.

Experience and qualifications

We are particularly interested in applicants who bring:

- Demonstrated experience supporting people with disability, especially those with complex behavioural, psychosocial or daily living support needs.

- Experience implementing behaviour support plans and using person-centred de-escalation strategies.

- Strong communication, observation and written documentation skills.

- Confidence using digital rostering and care documentation systems.

- A relevant qualification in disability, individual support, community services or a related field, which will be highly regarded.

Applicants should hold, or be able to obtain before commencing relevant duties:

- NDIS Worker Screening clearance.

- A Working with Children Blue Card where supporting children.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle for roles involving participant transport.

You must also be willing to complete required induction and participant-specific training.
