OzChild is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Practice Lead to provide specialist practice leadership across our designated youth justice and family-based care programs in Queensland.

This is a senior specialist opportunity for an experienced practitioner or practice leader who can influence practice at a program and organisational level, build workforce capability and lead the implementation and continuous improvement of evidence-informed practice.

Working closely with senior leaders, Program Managers, Team Leaders, practitioners, Aboriginal partner organisations and external stakeholders, you will bring strong professional expertise to complex practice environments and help translate evidence, implementation science and outcome data into meaningful improvements in service delivery.

- Part time permanent position – 0.8 FTE
- SCHADS Award Level 7 .1 (pro rata to part time ) $ 124,744.88

About you

You are an experienced senior practitioner, practice leader or specialist with demonstrated credibility in a complex human services environment.

You will bring:

- A degree in Psychology, Social Work, Forensic Science/Justice or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in practice leadership, specialist practice, workforce capability, implementation or service improvement.
- Strong experience working within child and family services, out-of-home care, youth justice or a related human services setting.
- Advanced understanding of evidence-informed practice and implementation science, including implementation, fidelity and sustainment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide senior practice advice, consultation, coaching and professional leadership.
- Highly developed facilitation, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to work confidently with senior leaders and practitioners and influence practice across multiple programs.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative data into practical practice improvements.
- A sophisticated understanding of child protection, youth justice, trauma-informed practice and contemporary human services practice.




- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal organisations, communities and stakeholders and promote culturally safe practice.
- Strong skilled judgement, autonomy and the ability to manage complex priorities across multiple programs.

Postgraduate qualifications or professional development in Implementation Science, Coaching, Leadership, Project Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Screening requirements

The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete relevant safety screening, including:

- Queensland Working with Children Check
- National Police Check and/or International Police Check where applicable
- Valid driver's licence
- Mandatory and program-specific training on commencement and refresher training as required.
