Playmates Cottage Dubbo is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Director to join our team.

We are a small, not-for-profit 51-place early childhood centre committed to providing a welcoming, nurturing and high-quality learning environments for children, families and educators.

About the role

Working alongside our Centre Manager and Educational Leader, the Assistant Director will support the daily operations and leadership of the centre.

Key responsibilities

- Policy and procedure reviews and implementation

- Compliance monitoring and audits

- Enrolment and waitlist management and reviews

- Supporting and managing a team of educators

- Assisting the Educational Leader and Centre Manager with daily operations

- Partake in risk minimisation and management





- Developing and implementing medical management plans in consultation with families and team members

- Supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement

About you

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education

- Previous management or leadership experience within an early childhood setting

- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

- A Police Check completed within the past 6 months

- Completed CHCPRT025 Child Protection or willingness to obtain

- Completed Child Safety Foundation and Advanced Gecko training

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills

- Experience with OWNA or similar childcare management software is highly desirable
