About the role

CK Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Waste Runner to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based in Smithfield, NSW 2164 and offers an excellent opportunity to work in the waste management and services industry. As a Waste Runner, you will provide essential support to waste collection and processing operations, playing a vital role in keeping our communities clean and our operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on position that requires physical capability and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Early morning starts from 4.30am + Overtime daily

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with the collection and loading of waste materials onto collection vehicles

- Supporting waste sorting and segregation processes at collection sites

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas throughout shifts

- Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

- Assisting experienced waste management personnel with daily operational tasks

- Reporting any hazards, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to supervisory staff

- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues

- Able to start from Smithfield at 4:30am and work overtime as required

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour duties

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Strong commitment to health and safety practices

- Reliability and punctuality





- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to follow instructions

- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors

- Basic level of fitness to lift and carry materials regularly

- Previous experience in waste management, construction, or similar labouring roles is advantageous but not essential
