GCI Group is looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our team as a Trainee CAD / Sales Support.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in CAD, drawings, sales and manufacturing and wants to learn and develop their skills within a growing business.

You will receive training across a range of areas, including reading and understanding drawings, data entry, sales support and basic CAD processes.

About the role:

- Learn to read and understand engineering and customer drawings

- Assist with basic CAD and drawing requirements

- Learn and develop skills using Solidworks, Solid Edge and Boost

- Enter and maintain customer and job information

- Provide day-to-day support to the Sales team

- Assist with preparing quotes and entering orders

- Liaise with the Sales, Programming and Production teams

- Learn about sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes

- Assist with general administration and data entry

- Develop an understanding of how customer enquiries progress through to production





- Receive hands-on training and support to develop your CAD and manufacturing knowledge

About you:

- Keen to learn and develop new skills

- Interested in CAD, drawings and manufacturing

- Positive attention to detail

- Basic computer skills

- Good communication skills

- Reliable, organised and willing to take direction

- Comfortable working as part of a team

- Previous CAD, drafting, administration or manufacturing experience is an advantage, but not essential
