PROTECNIUM AUSTRALIA PTY LTD The Spatial & BIM Data Specialist will play a key role within the Survey Department on the Snowy 2.0 project, acting as the main interface with the BIM Department on civil construction projects. The position is responsible for managing, processing, and coordinating survey data and point cloud information to ensure it is accurately prepared, structured, and ready for integration into BIM models.

This role requires strong digital coordination skills, hands-on experience with survey and BIM-related software, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary digital teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of high-quality 3D and 4D models that support planning, construction sequencing, and project delivery Perks Competitive salary: $155,000 in year one, rising to $170,000 from year two, plus 12% superannuation. Genuine career progression on a project of national significance Task & responsibilities Collect, manage and coordinate all survey data, including point cloud scans, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

Process and clean point cloud data, removing noise and preparing datasets for BIM use. Generate surfaces and models from point cloud data (terrain, structures, roads, civil infrastructure).



Prepare survey outputs for handover to the BIM Department.

Work closely with BIM teams to ensure correct data integration. Develop and integrate 3D and 4D BIM models, including alignment with construction scheduling. Coordinate across digital teams as technical liaison between Survey and BIM.

Use and manage CDE platforms including Autodesk ACC and 12D Synergy Qualification & experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Geomatics, Surveying, Spatial Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in survey data management, point cloud processing and/or BIM coordination on infrastructure or construction projects. Experience with industry-standard survey and BIM software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or equivalent).

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
