Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Elsternwick, VIC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your automotive career in a skilled workshop environment, working alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

You’ll gain practical experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

No previous automotive experience is required. If you have a genuine passion for cars, enjoy working with your hands and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you’ll learn how to:

- Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.

- Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical faults.

- Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.





- Service and repair braking systems.

- Work on steering and suspension systems.

- Assist with engine servicing and mechanical repairs.

- Maintain and repair cooling systems.

- Work with vehicle electrical and electronic systems.

- Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.

- Complete safety and vehicle inspections.

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

- Develop your understanding of different vehicle makes, models and systems.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about cars and wants to build a career as a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.
